  • 1.Who is a cap seller?
    One who sells caps.
    2.What did he do one day?
    He put the caps in a basket.
    3. Then where did he go?
    To the market.
    4. Why did he go to the market?
    To sell the caps.
    5.Why was he tired on the way?
    He was very tired because it was a hot day.
    6.What did he do?
    He put the basket under a tree.
    He sat down and slept.
    7.What were there on that tree?
    Many monkeys.
    8.What did they notice or see?
    The cap on the man sleeping.
    9.What did they do?
    Each monkey  put a cap on its head and climbed the tree.
    10.What happened then?
    He woke up and saw his basket empty.
    He saw the caps on the monkeys' heads.
    11. What did he do?
    He threw his cap on the ground.
    12. What did the monkeys do?
    They also threw the caps down.
    13.What did the cap-seller do?
    He collected the caps and carried them away.

  • The hare and the tortoise.
  • Once a hare and a tortoise  had a competition.
  • The hare boasted  he was the fast runner.
  • He mocked   the tortoise   as a slow runner.
  • They decided to run a race.
  • They ran.
  • The hare ran so fast and he became very tired.
  • He saw the tortoise slowly coming.
  • So he  took a rest and slept.
  • When the tortoise reached the winning post,
  • He woke up.
  • He lost the race.
  • Slow and steady wins a race.

  • The wise hare.
  • A lion in the forest was killing many animals for his lunch.
  • All the animals had a meeting.
  • They told the lion they would come one by one each day for his lunch.
  • The lion agreed.
  • One day it was the turn of a hare.
  • The hare went late.
  • The lion was angry.
  • He asked  why he was late.
  • The wise hare said he was with another lion.
  • The lion wanted to eat him up.
  • He gave an excuse and came to this lion.
  • The lion asked where the other lion was.
  • The hare took the lion to a deep well.
  • He said the angry lion was there in the well.
  • The lion did not think at all.
  • He looked down on the well.
  • He saw his own reflection and roared out loud.
  • Then he jumped in the well .The lion died.
  • All the animals thanked the wise hare.
  • The presence of mind is the greatest gift.

  • Once a crow stole  a pancake and sat on a branch of  a tree.
  • A fox came and saw the crow with the pancake in its mouth.
  • He wanted to have it.
  • So he flattered the crow saying that the crow could sing in its nice voice  and he would be pleased to hear.
  • The foolish crow opened its beak.
  • The pancake fell down.
  • The fox took it and ran away.
  • So beware of Flattery.
